Leadership, Legal, Litigation, Philosophy, Subrogation
Our client is a premier, high-growth litigation boutique in Center City Philadelphia specializing exclusively in high-stakes property subrogation. They investigate and litigate catastrophic losses—including fires, floods, structural collapses, and building failures—where technical complexity is high and millions are at stake.
The Philosophy: Results Over Routine
Our client has moved beyond the traditional law firm model. They have eliminated the administrative friction of the billable hour in favor of a meritocratic system that rewards efficiency, tactical brilliance, and successful recoveries. This is a "bet-on-yourself" environment designed for attorneys who want more control over their work and their income.
This is not a "support" role. Our client does not assign research memos; they assign cases. You will be expected to:
- Command a Portfolio: Take full ownership of 40–50 active litigated files.
- Drive Strategy: Develop the tactical roadmap for every case from inception to trial.
- Lead in the Field: Take and defend depositions and interface directly with industry-leading experts and opposing counsel.
- Push for Resolution: Move cases toward trial or high-value settlement through aggressive, disciplined advocacy.
The Model: Accountability & Upside
- No Billable Hours: The firm values movement and resolution, not time spent.
- No Bureaucracy: Direct access to leadership, clear expectations, and radical transparency.
- Direct Incentives: Compensation includes a competitive base plus a performance bonus tied directly to recoveries. Strong performers can meet or exceed $250,000+ in total annual compensation.
Requirements
Our client is looking for a litigation-tested attorney who is comfortable in their own skin and unphased by high-pressure environments.
- Experience: 2–5 years of litigation experience; extensive deposition experience is required.
- Temperament: Able to handle conflict without flinching. You must remain grounded when opposing counsel pushes or judges apply pressure.
- Skillset: Exceptional ability to distill complex factual and engineering issues into clear, persuasive legal arguments.
- Trial Experience: Previous trial experience is a significant plus.
