    Description

    Subrogation Specialist

    A growing organization in the transportation and logistics industry is seeking a Subrogation Specialist to join its Claims team. This role is responsible for identifying, investigating, and recovering funds related to third-party liability claims. The position plays a key role in minimizing financial loss and improving recovery outcomes across the business.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Investigate claims to identify subrogation opportunities involving third-party liability
    • Review claim files, police reports, and supporting documentation to determine fault and recovery potential
    • Communicate and negotiate with insurance carriers, attorneys, and third parties to resolve claims
    • Prepare and submit subrogation demands with accurate and complete documentation
    • Track claims through the full recovery lifecycle, ensuring timely follow-up and resolution
    • Partner with internal teams to identify recovery opportunities and improve processes
    • Maintain detailed records of all claim activity, communications, and settlements
    • Provide regular updates and reporting on recovery progress

    Requirements:

    • Minimum 2 years of experience in insurance claims handling or subrogation
    • Strong understanding of liability, insurance principles, and claims processes
    • Experience working with auto, commercial, or transportation-related claims is highly preferred
    • Proven ability to negotiate and drive claims to resolution
    • Strong attention to detail and ability to analyze complex claim information
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and Word
    • Experience with claims management systems is a plus
