Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced Pediatric Outpatient Registered Nurse (RN) to provide high-quality, patient-centered care in a busy outpatient clinic. The RN will collaborate with patients, families, physicians, and the multidisciplinary team to ensure safe, efficient care while supporting clinic operations and coordinating follow-up services.
Job Duties:
Provide comprehensive nursing care to pediatric patients during outpatient clinic visits using the nursing process (assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation).
Assess patient conditions, communicate changes to providers, and update care plans as needed.
Educate and support patients and families throughout the care journey, including discharge and follow-up planning.
Coordinate follow-up appointments and collaborate with physicians and the multidisciplinary team to ensure continuity of care.
Triage non-urgent clinical phone calls and provide appropriate nursing guidance and documentation.
Maintain accurate electronic documentation while adhering to hospital policies, clinical protocols, and quality standards.
Requirements:
Active Registered Nurse (RN) PA state or compact state license required.
Recent 3 years of pediatric nursing experience required.
Previous outpatient or ambulatory clinic experience required.
