Compensation & Benefits
Pay:$26.00–$32.00 per hour, based on experience and credentials.

Schedule
- Full-time
- Monday through Friday
- 9:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
- No weekends
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive assessments to determine clients' treatment needs.
- Provide individual, and group counseling sessions focused on substance use recovery.
- Develop, implement, and regularly update individualized treatment plans.
- Monitor client progress and modify treatment interventions as needed.
- Facilitate psychoeducational, recovery, and relapse prevention groups.
- Provide crisis intervention and appropriate referrals when necessary.
- Collaborate with psychiatrists, therapists, case managers, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate client care.
- Educate clients and their families about addiction, recovery, relapse prevention, and available community resources.
- Complete timely and accurate clinical documentation, including progress notes, treatment plans, discharge summaries, and other required records in the electronic health record (EHR).
- Ensure compliance with COMAR regulations, Maryland behavioral health standards, HIPAA, and organizational policies.
- Participate in staff meetings, supervision, and continuing education activities.
Qualifications
Preferred Licensure/Certification
Applicants with one or more of the following Maryland credentials are encouraged to apply:
- CAC-AD
- CSC-AD
- ADT
- LGPC
- LCPC
- LMSW
- LCSW-C
- LGADC
- LCADC
- Other equivalent Maryland behavioral health licensure or certification
Preferred Experience
- Experience providing substance use disorder (SUD) treatment in an outpatient, intensive outpatient (IOP), residential, or behavioral health setting.
Skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong assessment, counseling, and treatment planning abilities.
- Compassionate, empathetic, and culturally responsive approach to client care.
- Ability to establish therapeutic relationships while maintaining professional boundaries.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
