What You''ll Do

  • Provide individual, group, and family counseling for patients receiving substance use disorder treatment
  • Complete comprehensive assessments, psychosocial evaluations, treatment plans, and clinical documentation
  • Conduct admissions, discharges, transfers, and ongoing patient evaluations
  • Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and behavioral health professionals to coordinate patient care
  • Facilitate therapeutic groups and educate patients on addiction, recovery, relapse prevention, and wellness
  • Deliver compassionate, patient-centered care while maintaining regulatory and clinical documentation standards

Qualifications

  • Master''s degree in Mental Health Counseling, Counseling, Psychology, Social Work, Intellectual/Developmental Disabilities, or a closely related behavioral health field required.

  • Must possess one of the following:

  • An active professional license (such as LPC, LCSW, LMFT, LMSW, or other qualifying state license), or

  • A Mississippi Department of Mental Health credential as a Mental Health Therapist (MHT), Psychiatric Certified Addictions Therapist (PCAT), Certified Addictions Therapist (CAT), Professional Mental Health Therapist (PMHT), Intellectual/Developmental Disabilities Therapist, or

  • A qualifying addiction credential, including CADC, CADC-I, CADC-II, CAADC, or CIC.

  • Experience in substance use disorder, addiction treatment, behavioral health, or mental health counseling preferred.

  • Excellent communication, clinical documentation, and patient engagement skills.
