We provide supportive, trauma-informed services to individuals facing substance use and co-occurring mental health challenges. We are seeking dedicated
Substance Use Counselors (ADT, CAC-AD, CSC-AD) who are passionate about helping individuals achieve and maintain recovery.
This is an excellent opportunity for both
trainees and certified counselors to grow within a supportive and mission-driven organization.
What You’ll Do:
- Provide individual and group counseling for substance use and co-occurring disorders
- Complete intake assessments and contribute to treatment planning
- Support clients with relapse prevention and recovery goal setting
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in accordance with program standards
- Collaborate with clinical and peer support staff
- Connect clients to community resources and support services
- Participate in supervision, team meetings, and ongoing training
What You Bring:
- Active ADT, CAC-AD, or CSC-AD credential in Maryland
- High school diploma or GED required (Bachelor’s preferred for certified roles)
- Strong communication and documentation skills
- Understanding of substance use treatment and recovery principles
- Ability to maintain professional boundaries and confidentiality
- Ability to pass background check, drug screen, and TB test
Nice to Have:
- Experience in outpatient, IOP, or community-based treatment programs
- Knowledge of trauma-informed care and harm reduction
- Familiarity with EHR systems
- Bilingual (Spanish or other languages) a plus
Physical Requirements:
- May require sitting, standing, and light lifting (up to 20 lbs)
- Able to perform duties with or without reasonable accommodation
