Substation Civil/Electrical Engineer (Experienced)M&S Engineering, LLC seeks a qualified Substation Civil/Electrical Engineer at our Spring Branch, Texas location to perform engineering and design duties which require application of engineering principles and knowledge of substation design.Duties & ResponsibilitiesDetail engineering and design of substation projects from conceptual design through construction from 4kV to 345kVDetail relaying, protection, and controls engineering and designDetail structural, civil site, and foundation engineering and designCreate/modify design documents and drawings for a project, including one-lines, three-lines, control schematics, wiring diagrams, relay panel arrangements, specifications, conduit and cable sizing/routing, and generating bills of materialEffectively communicate and coordinate project activities with manager, clients, and others as neededPrepare scopes, schedules, and budgets, and ensure that schedules and budgets are metTake on a project engineer and/or project manager role as requiredRequirements4-year degree from an accredited college or university in Electrical Engineering (emphasis in Power is preferred) or Civil Engineering (emphasis in Structures and/or Site Development)Minimum of 3 years applicable post-graduation substation design experienceCurrent EIT License in the State of Texas or ability to obtain the license within 12 months of hire (required)Current PE License in the State of Texas or ability to obtain the license within 12 months of hire (preferred)Strong analytical and problem-solving skillsExcellent interpersonal skills as well as verbal and written communications skillsAbility to work closely with other engineering and design team members to coordinate overall design package and requirementsAbility to travelTake personal responsibility and ownership for the quality and accuracy of work productProficiency using AutoCAD or MicroStation and Microsoft Office SuiteAble to simultaneously manage multiple projectsWork independently or in a team environmentMust be able to routinely lift up to 30lbsValid driver's license with a clean driving record requiredSalary commensurate with experienceEmployer paid health/dental/vision insuranceEmployer paid STD/LTDLife Insurance401k retirement plan with employer match#J-18808-Ljbffr
