The Substation Design Engineer (Intermediate/Senior) leads and supports high-voltage substation design within the transmission system.
Responsibilities include developing detailed design packages, performing technical analyses, and ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
At the Senior level, responsibilities expand to managing complex projects, refining engineering standards, and providing technical leadership and mentorship.
Both levels develop and review electrical and physical design elements, perform engineering calculations, support field activities, and coordinate with stakeholders.
The Senior also manages project scope, budget, and stays updated on emerging technologies.
Qualifications include a bachelor's degree in engineering, minimum 2 years (intermediate) or 6 years (senior) of relevant experience, and proficiency in engineering software and communication skills.
Ideal candidates have utility or transmission experience and are authorized to work in the U.S. without visa sponsorship.
