The team is responsible for bulk electric system documentation and assessments that determine and validate electrical flow limits across substations — ensuring compliance between design, documentation, and actual field conditions.What You'll DoPerform physical and structural design support for electrical power substationsConduct on-site field assessments to verify substation equipment and construction accuracyReview, modify, and update existing 2D AutoCAD drawings (breakers, substation equipment, layouts)Document discrepancies between engineering drawings and actual field installationsComplete high-volume data entry related to electrical documentation and compliance trackingUse Excel extensively for documentation, tracking, and reportingSupport compliance with NERC requirements related to bulk electric system documentationCollaborate closely with engineering, construction, and compliance teamsSenior levels may mentor junior engineers and participate in design reviewsWhat You BringBachelor's Degree in Engineering (required)Utility / Substation background strongly preferredOR prior experience as a Construction Engineer or Field Engineer in the Power IndustryStrong attention to detail and documentation accuracyAbility to pass NERC CIP screeningRequired Technical Skills2D AutoCAD drafting (modifying existing drawings, not greenfield design-heavy)Experience reconciling engineering documentation vs. field-built conditionsComfortable working in active substation environmentsExperience LevelsEngineer VI: 10+ years80% field-based across Georgia (occasional Florida travel)Short-duration travel (typically 1–2 days max )Balance of field verification and office-based documentation updatesStrong preference for candidates with 10+ years of utility/substation or power industry field experiencePreferred (Not Required)EIT certificationPrior NERC-regulated environment experience#J-18808-Ljbffr
