Substitute Bus Aide/Monitor

Job Description:

The bus aide rides buses and helps the driver ensure the safe and orderly transportation of students with disabilities. The person selected for this job will be scheduled to work a minimum of 5 hours per day. Some of the assigned responsibilities include: assisting students with disabilities on and off the bus; supervising students as they board and leave the bus and cross the street; managing student behavior and reporting discipline problems to the transportation manager.

Salary Range: $16.00/hour

Qualifications:

High School Diploma or GED;

Ability to follow verbal instructions and communicate effectively;

Ability to operate safety equipment and adaptive equipment;

Ability to work well with children with disabilities
