Transportation Rates During training program: $17.13 per hour Upon completing the training program, hired substitutes will be categorized based on their preferences: A-list driver: $28.28 per hour, potential for a regular route B-list driver: $28.28 per hour, remains a substitute Substitute rates increase upon licensing: $28.28 per hour Regular route driver: $31.13 per hour

Transportation Applicant Process

Complete the online district application and include the following: Resume with work history 3 references-must be a manager or supervisor from a paid or volunteer capacity (cannot be family, friend, neighbor or co-workers)

All applicants must meet the following requirements:

  • Be at least 21 years of age
  • Have at least 5 years driving experience
  • Pass Criminal Background Fingerprinting Check with WSP and FBI (Upon Hire)
  • Meet physical requirements set by law
  • Undergo drug and alcohol testing (Upon Hire)
  • Have an acceptable driving record
  • Current First Aid Certification (Training Provided)
  • CDL classroom work and behind the wheel training provided (Upon Hire)
