JOB DESCRIPTION

The candidate must demonstrate the ability to:

  1. Prepare for assigned classes and show written evidence of such preparation.
  2. Provide instruction based on the State and District Common Core Standards and essential learnings.
  3. Attend and participate in faculty and team meetings.
  4. Participate in workshops and other staff development programs that support building goals.
  5. Be an effective member of a professional learning community by establishing and maintaining cooperative relationships with others.
  6. Clearly communicate student performance expectations.
  7. Assess and provide feedback on a regular basis.
  8. Communicate regularly and positively with students, staff, and parents regarding student progress and behavior.
  9. Be flexible to the demands of the position and manage time effectively.
  10. Work with students in an enthusiastic, supportive, and consistent manner.
  11. Maintain classroom discipline and an orderly educational program.
  12. Use technology in the teaching and managing of students.
  13. Work with and assume the responsibility for the productive use of classroom para-educators.
  14. Enforce and uphold all District and building rules and regulations.
  15. Perform other duties assigned.

In-District staff must complete an internal online application or submit a letter of interest by 3:00 p.m. PST on or before the closing date or until filled.

Out-of-District applicants must also complete an online application and provide all required documentation. All hires are subject to a satisfactory criminal background check.
