Substitute Crossing Guard The Kaukauna Police Department is seeking individuals to serve as Substitute Crossing Guards, in the event of an absence of our regular hourly Crossing Guards. In this role, you will assist children in safely crossing roadways and intersections on their way to and from school. Crossing Guards monitor traffic conditions, identify safe gaps in traffic, and escort children across streets while clearly displaying a stop sign to ensure visibility to approaching vehicles. This is a seasonal, substitutionary position that may take place Monday through Friday, with one hour in the morning and one hour in the afternoon, as well as compensation for one hour of travel time each day.
