The Bethel School District is seeking CTE teacher applicants to substitute for CTE classroom teachers. We want educators who are committed to a continuing program of professional and personal growth, and who want to be part of a growing, developing school district.

POSITION HOURS AND DAYS VARY.

PAY FOR POSITION:

2025-26 SY Certificated Substitute PayPER FULL DAY (3.75 hrs>):Substitute Teachers: $200/dayPER HALF DAY (3.75 hrs <):Substitute Teachers: $100/half day

  • Rates are subject to change based on negotiation outcomes.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Must hold a valid Washington State CTE teaching certificate with appropriate V-code.
  • Successful substitute teaching experience preferred.
  • Ability to work a minimum of 4 days a month.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Follows all lesson plans and other instruction provided by the regular teacher and/or school.
  • Assumes responsibility for duties assigned to the regular teacher.
  • Provides instruction and modify instruction to meet the diverse learning needs of all students, including students with disabilities and students who are learning English.
  • Demonstrates effective classroom management.
  • Creates a safe and positive classroom environment conducive to learning.
  • Works collaboratively within school, and district to support all students learning at high levels.
  • Fosters a positive attitude with students, parents, and staff.
  • Utilizes effective human relations and/or communication skills.
  • Completes necessary paperwork in timely manner.
  • Maintains up-to-date knowledge of research-based best practices.
  • Is conscientious about equipment, instructional materials, records and reports.
  • Remains on duty and available during the professional workday.
  • Communicates with the regular teacher, either by telephone or in writing.
  • Other duties as assigned.
