Substitute Custodial and Food Service Support 2026-2027

Summary:

We are seeking Substitute Custodial and Food Service Support to help keep things humming for the students. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining a clean and safe environment for students, staff, and visitors, or supporting food service operations as needed. This is a substitute position, and the candidate will be called upon to fill in for regular staff members as needed.

Responsibilities may include:

• Perform custodial duties, including cleaning classrooms, hallways, restrooms, and other areas as assigned
• Follow established cleaning procedures and use appropriate cleaning agents and equipment
• Monitor building security and report any safety hazards or maintenance issues
• Assist with food service operations, including preparing and serving meals, cleaning kitchen and dining areas, and restocking supplies
• Follow food safety guidelines and maintain a clean and organized kitchen
• Communicate effectively with colleagues, supervisors, and other staff members
• Maintain a positive and professional demeanor at all times

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Prior experience in custodial or food service work preferred
• Ability to follow instructions and work independently
• Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain a clean and organized work environment
• Ability to lift and move heavy objects (up to 50 pounds)
• Availability to work flexible hours, including evenings, as needed
• Ability to pass a fingerprint background check.
