Description
The Custodial team is actively looking for candidates who are searching for part-time positions within Spokane Public Schools.
This position provides custodial services throughout the districts facilities ensuring a safe environment for staff, students, and community members. Custodial substitutes receive one-on-one training with supervising staff and typically work independently receiving minimum supervision and guidance.
This position provides flexible hours, based upon demand. Morning and evening shifts are available. This is a non-represented position.

Working Conditions:
Requires prolonged standing, sitting, bending, stooping, crawling and other physical exertion. Work on ladders and on low slope and flat roofs, lift and carry heavy supplies, materials and equipment. Possible exposure to elevated noise levels and potentially dangerous conditions. Required to wear protective gear, work outdoors in inclement weather. Requires safety awareness at all times.

Stipends, Leave Accruals and Holidays - Stipends, leaves and paid holidays are in accordance with the applicable collective bargaining agreement (https://www.spokaneschools.org/Page/314) as negotiated.

School District Employees participate in the Washington State Department of Retirement Systems (DRS) public pension plan. Employees can choose from a lifetime retirement pension plan or a hybrid pension and investment plan that contributes between 5% and 15% of wages to retirement. When employees meet plan requirements and retire, they are guaranteed a monthly benefit for the rest of their life from the employer-funded pension.
Employees can also participate in voluntary savings programs to increase retirement savings such as the DRS Deferred Compensation Program or by participating in a 403(b) retirement plan through the District's plan manager, OMNI.
