Requirements:

• Must have Child Development Associate Teacher Permit and AA degree in ECE.
• 12 college units of Early Childhood Education coursework.
• Valid First Aid and CPR cards.
• Health and Safety certification.
• Prior experience in working with preschool age children per AB792.
• Proof of Flu, MMR, and TDAP vaccinations at time of hire.
• Passing a physical involving pushing, pulling, lifting, and carrying at time of hire.

Testing Information: Testing information will be e-mailed to selected applicants once the job vacancy is closed.

NCLB Requirement: To be considered for this position, you must also meet one of the following three requirements:

1. Pass the written test.
2. Possess an AA degree.
3. Have at least 48 college semester units.

Requirements & Qualifications:

• Certificate: Copy of Child Development Associate Teacher permit or higher required. This requirement cannot be waived.
• Copy of Transcript: The transcript needs to show the 12 units in Early Childhood Education coursework.
• Proof of HS Graduation: High School graduate or equivalent.

Comments and Other Information: This position requires a Child Development Associate Teacher permit, Associates degree or higher, or enrolled in a program that will lead to an Associates degree or higher, plus 12 units in Early Childhood Education college coursework. This is part of the job description and cannot be waived. Transcripts showing these earned units need to be attached to the Edjoin application.
