Project/Program Coordination, Student Conduct
The Extended School Services (ESS) Program serves students in the La Mesa-Spring Valley School District both before and after school. The District is currently recruiting Substitutes for ESS Rec Attendants and ESS Program Aides. Both positions are approximately 2.0 - 2.5 hours in the morning; generally between the hours of 6:00 am - 8:30 am AND 3.0 - 3.5 hours in the afternoon; generally between the hours of 2:00 pm - 5:30 pm.
Under the direction of the ESS Site Lead, Substitute ESS Rec Attendants and Program Aides observe and manage behavior of students enrolled in ESS during recreational activities; monitor the play area during periods when students are present; organize and direct age appropriate activities for school age students; and assist in maintaining a clean and safe learning environment for students. In addition, Substitute Program Aides coordinate and plan activities and support students' educational needs.
