Nine Mile Falls School District

Job Title: Substitute Food Service Associate

Serving Lunch, Saving the Day

Nine Mile Falls School District is seeking Food Service Substitutes who want to help students, work with good people, and be part of a school day without signing up for a full-time schedule. A few hours in the kitchen can matter more than people think. Students count on lunch. Some count on a smile in the line, too. Around here, both are worth serving.

This work moves quickly. One minute you may be helping prep food. Then the lunch bell rings and suddenly it feels like the whole building remembered it was hungry at the same time. There are meals to serve, trays to manage, counters to wipe, and probably at least one mystery spill that deserves its own investigation. You help regular staff keep things moving, even when the pace gets a little saucy.

Our schools value substitutes who show up ready to help and willing to work hard. You do not need to be a professional chef. If you can jump in, care about students, and laugh with the team when the tater tots try to make a break for it, you will fit right in. Students may not always say much as they come through the line, but they notice kindness. They notice when people make school feel a little easier.

Step in, help feed students, and support a great kitchen team. The pace is real. The work matters. The tater tots will keep everyone humble.
