This is an on-call position for open health assistant positions that occur on an infrequent/daily basis throughout the school year. Job Responsibilities

The Health Assistant will be responsible for the administration of medication and first aid under the direction of the school nurse. Health training will be provided by the school district.

 

Required Qualifications

Documents must be uploaded with your WECAN application prior to applying or provided prior to the official hire meeting.

  1. High school diploma or equivalent required.
  2. Two years of education beyond high school or 48 post high school credits preferred (but not required for Reg. Ed. TAs).
  3. In lieu of post high school education, acceptable proficiency scores for WorkKeys ACT is preferred (but not required for Reg. Ed. TAs).

 

Preferred Qualifications

• Some paid or volunteer experience working with children in an educational or childcare setting, or any combination of training and experience that could likely provide the knowledge and abilities for job assignment. • Keyboarding skills and computer knowledge (e-mail, word processing, Internet) required.
