As a Substitute Teacher You WillProvide a safe and loving environment for children aged 3 months through 6 years of age in our classrooms in collaboration and under the direction of co-teachersModel empathy through respect response and gentle guidanceEngage as children work with age-appropriate stimulating and thoughtful materialsSupport the implementation of Brellas curriculum under the direction of co-teachersKeep the classroom safe by following procedures and guidelinesExperience Knowledge and AbilitiesAt least 18 years of age with a High School Diploma and 12 Early Childhood Education units and for those that work in our infant rooms this must include 3 units specific to infant care RequiredExperience working in a licensed child care facility RequiredMust meet the requirements of the California Department of Social Services Licensing The ability to display a patient and calm demeanor coupled with a loving approach to every childA collaborative spirit and ability to take direction from staff to support our rooms as neededWe Care for Our CaregiversOur Substitutes are considered Part-Time employees and are eligible for Competitive PaySubstitute Rates 19- 23 placement in the range is dependent on education relevant experience and interview assessmentSick & Safe Time - accrued based on hours worked up to 6 daysyear Physical DemandsDemonstrate full range of motion to lift reach squat climb sit walk bend and otherwise fully participate in activities.
