BASIC FUNCTION: Under the direction of a program administrator, perform the necessary tasks to implement health policies, procedures, and emergency/medical health care plans; ensure health compliance with Head Start Program Performance Standards and California Community Care Licensing requirements; assess, refer and provide for the health needs of enrolled Head Start children and expectant mothers; develop and disseminate health education information to teachers, parents, and children.

SCOE Edjoin Application California Vocational Nurse License Valid Healthcare Provider and CPR Certification EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Any combination equivalent to: graduation from an accredited Vocational Nurses Program and one year vocational nursing experience.

ADDITIONAL DOCUMENTS: The following documents are not required at the time of application but will be required of the selected applicant prior to employment: Department of Justice Fingerprint clearance, Tuberculosis clearance & Pre-Employment Physical/Drug Screen clearance. Must be at least 18 years of age.
