THE POSITION
The Part-Time Substitute Meal Transporter position with the Lebanon County Area Agency on Aging gives you the chance to support older adults in a meaningful way. This role helps keep seniors safe and comfortable by ensuring they receive warm, nutritious meals. You will join a caring team that values responsibility and kindness. DESCRIPTION OF WORK
This role ensures that homebound seniors receive safe, reliable meal deliveries while maintaining clear records and communicating important information to the agency. As a Part-Time Substitute Meal Transporter, you will perform the following duties:

Operate a light motor vehicle, such as a van or passenger car, to transport and deliver meals, packages or supplies to include loading, transporting and delivering agency hot meals to clients, as well as transporting program documents, supplies or packages that must be lifted, carried to vehicle, and placed into or removed from vehicle when delivered to a specified destination.

Perform clerical and vehicle records keeping tasks to include calculate and record daily mileage, time, and travel costs (gas, oil, tolls, fares, etc.) in travel logs; keep records of accountability for packages, supplies or other items transported; complete daily reports for assigned geographical area and the people, products or program locations served.

Perform vehicle maintenance and safety tasks to include, regularly check tires, turn signals, wipers, and horn; and fill to proper level such fluids as engine oil, brake fluid, radiator coolant, and battery water. Report any mechanical problems or unsafe vehicle conditions to supervisor. Maintain current vehicle service records and safety inspections; and regularly clean vehicle inside and outside.
