JOB DESCRIPTION
POSITION: Phlebotomy Instructor
HOW SELECTED:

QUALIFICATIONS:
- Holds a valid license as a registered professional nurse from the West Virginia Board of Examiners for Registered Professional Nurses; OR
- Holds a valid license as a medical laboratory technician from the West Virginia Office of Laboratory Services.
IMMEDIATE SUPERVISOR: Principal/Director of Career and Technical Education
PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Develop course outlines and lesson plans for teaching the phlebotomy skills and related courses.
- Direct and supervise student learning in the classroom and clinical areas.
- Evaluate and record student performance.
- Participate in the counseling and guidance of students related to their course of instruction.
- Perform any other duties assigned by the administration.
TERM OF EMPLOYMENT: Up to10 hours/week x 20 weeks
SALARY: $25/hour
EVALUATION: Performance of this job will be evaluated annually in accordance with West
Virginia Board of Education Policy 5310.
