Braintree Public Schoolshas openings for Substitute School Traffic Supervisors. School Traffic Supervisors Crossing Guards are part-time employees of Braintree Public Schools. Their primary responsibility is to protect school children crossing streets while walking to and from schools within the town and ensure the safe crossing of school children at designated crosswalks. School Traffic Supervisors have no enforcement arrest powers or authority to issue motor vehicle citations. School Traffic Supervisors are assigned to control pedestrian and vehicular traffic at fixed posts determined by the School Department. All Spare School Traffic Supervisors must be available to be on call during the school year when a permanent School Traffic Supervisor is unable to report to work for their assigned post.
