Substitute Teacher
JOB SUMMARY:
In the absence of the classroom teacher, substitute teachers educate students by delivering a course of study according to student learning objectives, district/building curriculum guidelines and student assessment data as provided by the classroom teacher or building administration. To remain on our active substitute list, substitutes will need to have had a minimum of 4 assignments per month before the last day of school. Likewise, subs who are inactive for more than 30 consecutive days may be released from the Mead substitute position.

The Salary Range for a Substitute Teacher is Min $82.50 per half day - Max $165.00 per day. Substitutes will accrue 1 hour of sick leave for every 40 hours worked. Substitutes who work 630 hours will become benefit eligible for the remainder of the school year. Standard benefits include: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance and Long-Term Disability. Verification of identity and United States work authorization must be completed before employment commences. The successful candidate for this position must be fingerprinted. Employment is contingent upon clearance by the Washington State Patrol and the Federal Bureau of Investigation.
