Substitute Teacher 2026/2027- St. Raphael Catholic School

Job Summary:

St. Raphael Catholic School is looking for a dedicated Substitute Teacher to join the team on an as-needed basis. The Substitute Teacher will be responsible for following lesson plans, maintaining a positive classroom environment, and ensuring student learning in the absence of the regular classroom teacher.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Education or related field
• Teaching certificate or substitute teacher permit
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to manage a classroom and engage with students effectively
• Flexibility and adaptability to work in different classroom settings

Responsibilities:

• Follow lesson plans provided by the absent teacher
• Manage the classroom environment to ensure a positive and productive learning experience
• Implement effective teaching strategies to facilitate student learning
• Maintain a safe and inclusive classroom atmosphere
• Communicate with school staff and administrators as needed
• Provide feedback on student behavior and academic performance
• Uphold school policies and procedures
• Complete any necessary paperwork or reports related to the day's activities

Employment is contingent upon successful completion of a Level 2 background screening.
