Job Posting: Art Teacher - Long Term Substitute

Organization/Location: Turkey Hill School, 441 Turkey Hill Rd., Orange, CT 06477

Turkey Hill School is seeking an enthusiastic candidate for a long term substitute Art Teacher beginning on October 21, 2026 and ending on or about December 4, 2026. The successful candidate should possess:

• strong classroom management skills for working with students in grades one through six
• a collaborative nature, and a passion for engaging students in art
• ability to instruct and model artistic styles in a variety of media
• effective communication skills and the ability to successfully collaborate with staff, students, and parents

CT Certification 042, is preferred.

This position will also require the teacher to travel to neighboring Mary L. Tracy School one morning per week to teach kindergarten students.

Term: To begin October 21, 2026.

Salary: The 2026-27 starting rate is $134 per school day.
