We are seeking enthusiastic and dependable Substitute Teachers to join our growing team. In this role, you will play a vital part in maintaining instructional continuity and supporting our mission of cultivating thoughtful, morally grounded students in a nurturing and excellence-driven environment.
Maintain a positive, productive learning environment tailored to students' needs.
Implement lesson plans and instructional activities in the absence of the regular teacher.
Ensure all ACADC policies are observed during classroom activities.
Create and maintain a safe, respectful classroom conducive to learning.
Supervise students at all times, including outdoor activities, recess, lunch, and carpool duties.
Be familiar with emergency procedures, including fire, severe weather, and tornado protocols.
Take attendance, review teacher notes, and follow lesson plans.
Maintain confidentiality in compliance with FERPA guidelines.
Adapt to varying classroom circumstances and demonstrate sound judgment.
Arrive 30 minutes prior to assignment and remain on duty for the full duration, including teacher planning periods.
Leave detailed notes for the regular teacher on any issues or observations from the day.
Complete all assigned training in a timely and accurate manner.
Perform other duties as assigned by the Principal.
Bachelor's Degree preferred.

Eligibility to work in the United States.
Successful completion of a background check as required by state law and the Colorado Department of Education.
Ability to lift up to 15 pounds.
Ability to move around the classroom and adjust posture to engage with students.
Ability to supervise outdoor activities safely.
