Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and ensure the safety and well-being of children at all times

  • Follow established lesson plans and daily routines prepared by the lead teacher

  • Engage children in age-appropriate learning activities, games, and storytelling

  • Assist with feeding, diapering/toileting, and other basic care needs

  • Maintain classroom cleanliness and organization

  • Communicate effectively and respectfully with children, staff, and parents

  • Document incidents and report concerns to appropriate staff members

  • Foster an inclusive and supportive classroom environment

  • Follow all center policies, licensing regulations, and health & safety procedures

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED required

  • Experience working with young children in a childcare or classroom setting preferred

  • CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)

  • Ability to pass background check and meet local childcare licensing requirements

  • Flexibility and reliability for on-call or short-notice assignments

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills

  • Patience, enthusiasm, and a genuine love for working with children

Compensation: $14.00 - $16.00 per hour
