As a Substitute Teacher at Celebree School, you will step in to support classrooms and ensure a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment for children. You’ll follow daily routines, assist with age-appropriate learning activities, and provide quality care that aligns with Celebree School’s commitment to early childhood education and development. Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and ensure the safety and well-being of children at all times
- Follow established lesson plans and daily routines prepared by the lead teacher
- Engage children in age-appropriate learning activities, games, and storytelling
- Assist with feeding, diapering/toileting, and other basic care needs
- Maintain classroom cleanliness and organization
- Communicate effectively and respectfully with children, staff, and parents
- Document incidents and report concerns to appropriate staff members
- Foster an inclusive and supportive classroom environment
- Follow all center policies, licensing regulations, and health & safety procedures
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED required
- Experience working with young children in a childcare or classroom setting preferred
- CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Ability to pass background check and meet local childcare licensing requirements
- Flexibility and reliability for on-call or short-notice assignments
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Patience, enthusiasm, and a genuine love for working with children
