Job Description:

POSITION: Teacher Substitutes

QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor's Degree

SALARY: $127.50 per diem (full day) $63.75 (half day) (Based on 2026-2027 approved sub rate)

Hebron Public Schools is looking for energetic and motivated teacher substitutes to work with teachers and assist in the delivery of instructional and related services for students, knowledge of, and the ability to assist in instructing in reading, writing and mathematics. This position does not offer benefits.

Qualifications:

Certification/License: Appropriate Connecticut State Certification for subject and grade level.

Education: Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university.

Experience: Student teaching, practicum and/or state approved preparation. Experience working with children preferred.

Supervision/Evaluation: Works under the direction and supervision of the Principal.

Physical Requirements:

Must have the physical ability to execute the full performance of duties for the position, including but not limited to: reaching, some lifting, standing, walking, carrying, bending, stooping, kneeling, crouching, sitting, and/or crawling.
