• Salisbury Central School (PreK8) Lakeville
• Sharon Center School (K8) Sharon
• Housatonic Valley Regional High School (912) Falls Village

What You'll Do

As a Substitute Teacher, you will:

• Supervise and support students in the absence of their regular teacher;
• Follow lesson plans and classroom routines provided by the teacher or administrator;
• Help maintain a positive, respectful, and productive learning environment;
• Use classroom technology and digital tools as directed;
• Follow District health, safety, and school procedures; and
• Collaborate effectively with teachers, administrators, and other school staff.

Requirements

Candidates must:

• Hold a valid Connecticut teaching certificate or possess a Bachelor's Degree (college transcripts required);
• Successfully complete required criminal background and DCF records checks;
• Complete required Region One training; and
• Be dependable, professional, and comfortable working with students.

Schedule & Assignments

Substitute Teachers work on an as-needed basis during the school year, offering flexibility to choose the days you are available to work.

Assignments are available in our PreK8 schools and at Housatonic Valley Regional High School. Applicants may indicate their preferred schools during the application process.

Salary: $135 per day
