Overview

We are seeking dedicated and passionate Substitute Teachers to join our educational team. The ideal candidates will be responsible for providing quality instruction and maintaining a positive learning environment in the absence of the regular classroom teacher. This role is crucial in ensuring that students continue to receive a high standard of education and support. We are flexible with scheduling!

Duties

• Implement lesson plans provided by the regular teacher to ensure continuity of instruction.
• Enforce school and class rules to maintain order in the classroom.
• Manage classroom behavior and maintain a productive learning environment.
• Engage students in learning activities and encourage participation.
• Provide support for students with diverse learning needs, including those with special education requirements.
• Communicate effectively with students, staff, and parents regarding student progress and classroom activities.
• Assist in curriculum development and lesson planning as needed.
• Maintain accurate attendance records and report any issues or concerns to school administration.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children in an educational or childcare setting is preferred.
• Strong background in early childhood education, literacy education, math, or special education is a plus.
• Familiarity with behavior management and classroom management techniques.
• Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with students, parents, and staff.
• Knowledge of Montessori methods or preschool experience is beneficial but not required.
• Ability to adapt teaching methods to meet the needs of diverse learners.
• An Associates degree or higher
• A DPI License or education with the ability for a substitute license.
