Requirements / Qualifications

Must provide the following: -Verification of clearance with BCOE Clearinghouse -Substitute 30-Day Permit or other CA teaching credential -Completed EdJoin Application -CBEST verification or equivalent -Verification of TB clearance

If you have not cleared through the BCOE Clearinghouse, you may complete the Substitute Interest form at https://www.bcoe.org/Human-Resources/Substitutes/Certificated-Subs/index.html. Walk-ins are not accepted. We will reach out to you once verification of all required application materials, including the EdJoin application, are received. The Certificated Substitute rate is as follows: Regular day-to-day subbing: $28.57 hourly (working a full 7-hour day is $199.99) Long-term subbing (21 consecutive work days in the same assignment/classroom): $32.14 hourly (working a full 7-hour day is $224.98). Please note that if you do not meet the 21-consecutive day requirement, pay will revert back to the regular day-to-day subbing rate.

GUSD is located 30-miles south of Chico and serves approximately 2000 K-12 students on five school campuses.
