Substitute Teacher

Faith Christian School is seeking qualified substitute teachers to serve students in grades K-8. Substitute teachers play an important role in supporting our mission by maintaining a positive, Christ-centered learning environment when regular classroom teachers are absent. Faith Christian School is a growing PreK-8 non-denominational Christian school located in Kearney, Nebraska. Our mission is to glorify God by equipping students to be spiritually, academically, physically, and socially excellent while developing Christ-like leaders. Substitute teachers are expected to support this mission by modeling Christian character, maintaining classroom expectations, and ensuring continuity of learning for students. Primary Responsibilities

Supervise and instruct students using lesson plans provided by the classroom teacher.

Maintain a safe, orderly, and productive classroom environment.

Follow school policies and procedures while managing student behavior.

Clearly communicate instructions and expectations to students.

Provide feedback to the regular teacher regarding student progress, behavior, and completed work.

Demonstrate flexibility in working with different grade levels and subjects.

Model Christ-like character and encourage respectful behavior among students.

Successful completion of a background check. Valid Nebraska teaching or substitute certificate.
