Description:
- Develop and deliver engaging 8th Grade English Language Arts and Literature lessons aligned with curriculum standards and district expectations.
- Foster a safe, inclusive, and student-centered learning environment that encourages critical thinking, discussion, reading comprehension, and written expression.
- Design and implement assessments to monitor student progress in reading, writing, vocabulary, and literary analysis, adjusting instruction as needed.
- Integrate technology and diverse instructional resources to enhance student engagement and deepen understanding of literary texts and language arts concepts.
- Facilitate meaningful classroom discussions and activities that promote analytical thinking, effective communication, and a love of reading.
- Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and administrators to support student achievement and overall success.
- Maintain effective classroom management and promote positive student behavior consistent with school expectations.
- Participate in professional development activities, team meetings, and school events as required.
- Qualified Candidates must hold a valid Connecticut certification appropriate for the assignment.
