Job Description
The Tennessee School for the Blind is seeking a Substitute Teacher with a valid Tennessee teaching license to provide classroom coverage and support students in a positive and structured learning environment. The candidate will follow teacher lesson plans, maintain classroom routines, supervise students, and perform assigned school duties.

- Follow assigned teacher lesson plans and classroom instructions.
- Supervise students and maintain a safe, positive learning environment.
- Maintain normal classroom routines and follow school procedures.
- Perform assigned lunchroom, bus, hall, or other school duties.
- Report major discipline issues to school administrators.
- Follow emergency procedures and be aware of student medical needs.
- Protect student confidentiality at all times.
- Report to the educational office at the beginning and end of each school day.

Qualifications
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Valid Tennessee Teaching License required.
- Two years of college education or a Bachelor's degree preferred.
- Experience working with children with special needs preferred.
- Must pass required TBI/FBI background checks and fingerprinting.
- Strong attendance, punctuality, and dependability required.
