JOB QUALIFICATIONS
Education
Req
High School or equivalent
Related undergraduate study - Twenty-four postsecondary semester or equivalent
quarter units in of Early Childhood Education or Child Development is required, three of these must be in an infant/toddler course.
Pref
Bachelor's Degree Early Childhood or Child Development.
Work Experience
Req
2 years Work experience in a licensed daycare center as an Infant/Toddler caregiver.
Pref
Supervisor training, Health/Safety Communicable diseases class a plus.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Req
Good oral and written communication and interpersonal relations skills.
Exceptional patience and empathy.
Pleasant, gentle, and unhurried demeanor.
Ability to maintain utmost confidentiality.
Above average health, stamina, and the physical ability to move quickly bend and lift lightweight furniture and children.

The hourly rate range for this position is $21.00- $26.13. When extending an offer of employment, the University of Southern California Arcadia Hospital considers factors such as (but not limited to) the scope and responsibilities of the position, the candidate's work experience, education/training, key skills, internal peer equity, federal, State, and local laws, contractual stipulations, grant funding, as well as external market and organizational considerations.
Monitors the health and wellbeing of infants and/or toddlers. Supervises daily charting. Plans and implements appropriate developmental experiences for the infants and communicate with parents concerning their infant and/or toddler. Supervises staff in the classroom and yard.
