$175.00 - $293.93 per diem depending on certification and experience

ESS has partnered with the East Windsor School District to place passionate Substitute Teachers in the classroom! We are currently looking for a dynatic Long-Term Substitute Special Education Resource Teacher to support Broad Brook Elementary School, with an anticipated start date in early October through mid-November.

When a teacher is absent, a qualified substitute is needed to carry out the educational program. As a long substitute teacher, you'll become an integral part of a school's educational team, amplifying your teaching expertise while maximizing the learning experience for students! . As a long-term substitute, you will be responsible to implementing provided lesson plans, grading/reporting, parent communication and classroom management. This position will have support from the Administration and Department Leads.

Primary responsibilities: providing IEP service, progress monitoring, testing, report writing, and presenting at PPT meetings and other duties as assigned by the Director of Special Education. The position is located at the East Windsor Middel Schooland is part of a well-staffed related services and special education department. The ideal candidate will be able to meet mandated timelines and work collaboratively within a team to support student success.

Qualifications

• CT (or reciprocal state) Active Special Education Teacher certification preferred
• CT/FBI Criminal History Clearance
• Department of Children and Families Child Abuse and Neglect Registry Record Clearance
• Education Employment Verification - Act 16-67
• Certification in Physical Management Training (PMT) is preferred.
