ESS has partnered with the Consolidated School District of New Britain to place passionate Substitute Teachers in the classroom! We are currently looking for a dynatic Long-Term Substitute Special Education Inclusion Teacher to support Lincoln Elementary School, starting as soon as poosible through January 2027.

When a teacher is absent, a qualified substitute is needed to carry out the educational program. As a long substitute teacher, you'll become an integral part of a school's educational team, amplifying your teaching expertise while maximizing the learning experience for students! . As a long-term substitute, you will be responsible to implementing provided lesson plans, grading/reporting, parent communication and classroom management. This position will have support from the Administration and Department Leads.

Primary responsibilities: providing IEP service, progress monitoring, testing, report writing, and presenting at PPT meetings and other duties as assigned by the Director of Special Education. The position is part of a well-staffed related services and special education department. The ideal candidate will be able to meet mandated timelines and work collaboratively within a team to support student success.

Qualifications

• CT (or reciprocal state) Active Special Education Teacher certification preferred
• CT/FBI Criminal History Clearance
• Department of Children and Families Child Abuse and Neglect Registry Record Clearance
• Education Employment Verification - Act 16-67
• Certification in Physical Management Training (PMT) is preferred.
