SUBWAY SANDWICH ARTIST

POSITION OVERVIEW

The Subway Sandwich Artist is responsible for delivering outstanding guest service while preparing fresh, made-to-order sandwiches and maintaining a clean, organized restaurant. Every Sandwich Artist helps create a welcoming atmosphere by providing fast, friendly service and preparing high-quality food that meets Subway brand standards.

No previous Subway experience is required. We provide the training and support you need to build your skills and succeed in the role.

This position requires a rotating schedule that includes days, afternoons, rotating weekends, and some holidays.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

Deliver Outstanding Guest Service

• Welcome every guest with a friendly and positive attitude.
• Take guest orders accurately and efficiently.
• Answer questions and make menu recommendations.
• Create a positive guest experience through excellent hospitality and service.

Prepare Fresh Food

• Prepare made-to-order sandwiches, wraps, salads, and other menu items according to Subway brand standards.
• Bake fresh bread and cookies throughout the day.
• Maintain proper food quality, freshness, and presentation.
• Follow all food safety, sanitation, and health department guidelines.
• Ensure food preparation and storage areas remain clean and organized.

Support Daily Operations

• Operate the point-of-sale system and accurately process guest transactions.
• Monitor inventory levels and restock products as needed.
• Receive and organize deliveries.
• Complete daily and weekly cleaning schedules.
• Follow all company safety, security, and operational procedures.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

Maintain a Clean & Safe Environment

• Keep food preparation areas, dining areas, equipment, and workstations clean and organized.
• Maintain proper food storage and product rotation using First In, First Out (FIFO) practices.
• Follow all sanitation, safety, and food handling procedures.
• Maintain a professional appearance and represent the Subway brand with pride.

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Requirements

• Must be at least 16 years of age.
• Ability to work a rotating schedule that includes days, afternoons, rotating weekends, and some holidays.
• Ability to understand and follow written and verbal instructions.
• Ability to maintain positive working relationships with guests and fellow team members.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous restaurant, retail, food service, or customer service experience is helpful but not required.
• A willingness to learn and grow in a team-oriented environment.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

This position requires the ability to:

• Stand and walk for 4 to 8 hour shifts.
• Lift up to 50 pounds.
• Bend, reach, twist, and move throughout the shift.
• Safely operate food preparation and point-of-sale equipment.
• Perform food preparation, stocking, cleaning, and guest service duties.
• Communicate effectively with guests and team members.
