Reporting to the Director of NCCTI, the Success Coach serves as student advisor providing bootcamp-style coaching sessions to acclimate students to NCCTI, while also advising students throughout their academic journey ultimately setting them up for their future success.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Build supportive relationships with assigned students from enrollment through graduation.
- Conduct new student orientation bootcamps for all new students during their first two weeks of enrollment.
- Schedule 1 weekly meeting with all new students for their first two modules, then on an as-needed basis thereafter.
- Conduct regular check-ins to monitor attendance, academic progress, and overall well-being.
- Identify students who may be at risk of withdrawing and implement intervention strategies.
- Develop individualized student success plans to address academic and personal challenge
- Assist students in identifying and overcoming barriers such as transportation, childcare, financial concerns, time management, and work-life balance.
- Provide guidance on effective study skills, organization, and time management.

Required Experience:
- High school diploma, required
- Associates or Bachelors Degree preferred.
- Two or more years of experience in job development, job coaching, advising, case management, workforce development, education, or social services.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Google Workplace
- Experience working with diverse populations in urban communities
