Location: Fresno, CA
Position Type: Full-Time | Non-Exempt
Salary Range: $23.50 per hour

Position Overview:
Kings View is seeking a Suicide Prevention Specialist to support the Central Valley Suicide Prevention Hotline (CVSPH) and 988 Lifeline Program. This role responds to crisis calls, chats, and texts while providing active listening, crisis intervention, safety planning, and linkage to community resources.

Key Responsibilities:
• Respond to incoming contacts on 988 and assigned crisis/community support lines
• Provide compassionate active listening and collaborative problem solving
• Apply crisis intervention techniques and safety planning
• Evaluate need for emergency intervention and coordinate rescue response
• Document all contacts accurately within required systems
• Provide follow-up calls and community referrals
• Maintain compliance with American Association of Suicidology standards
• Attend required trainings and staff meetings

What You’ll Bring:

Required Qualifications:
• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Valid California Driver’s License (Class C)

Required Experience:
• Experience working with the public

Required Skills:
• Strong communication and compassionate listening skills
• Ability to de-escalate crisis situations
• Strong computer and documentation skills
• Ability to remain calm under pressure

Preferred Qualifications:
• Crisis counseling or mental health experience preferred
• Experience linking individuals to community resources preferred
