Summary

The Facilities Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for leading, managing, and developing a multi-discipline team of highly skilled technicians on Maintenance to support high volume wafer fabrication.

The Maintenance Supervisor will be empowered to manage the Maintenance team to meet performance objectives and to work with the factory module teams to meet the performance requirements.

The Maintenance Supervisor will work in cooperation with other technicians, engineers, and managers to ensure that all process specifications are met and to ensure efficient completion of projects.

Responsibilities

  • Maintains a clean, orderly, and safe workplace and sets a high bar for working safely.
  • Sets overall vision and leadership for the Maintenance operations team.
  • Sets high standards for performance outcomes.
  • Develops and maintains positive relationships with the factory customers.
  • Ensures adequate staffing & skill sets on Maintenance team. Develops personnel to achieve a high performance team including staff rotation.
  • Inspects buildings/physical plant daily to guarantee that building services are at the highest level of quality standards.
  • Ensures the site is operating according to state and local building codes.
  • Plans and schedules all maintenance work on facility assets including Preventative, Predictive, Corrective, and Reactive.
  • Works closely with Facilities Shift Supervisors to support any off-shift maintenance needs, identify opportunities for improvement in maintenance program.
  • Monitors contractors work and ensures work is being performed in accordance with contract specification.
  • Continually evaluates service delivery process and makes needed changes to drive cost savings initiatives including insource vs. outsource.
  • Understands and supports Site performance indicators.
  • Leads any RCA for any factory interruptions or EHS incidents.

Knowledge and Personal Skills

  • The Maintenance Supervisor must have knowledge of industry standards, codes, and regulations and the ability to apply to maintenance operation of site facilities systems.
  • Follow all safety policies and procedures at all times.
  • Ability to read, interpret, and understand engineering drawings and specifications.
  • Ability to work cooperatively with other technicians, supervisors, engineers, and managers.
  • Team building, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Sound decision-making skills.
  • Excellent written, verbal, presentation, and listening communications skills.
  • Advanced computer skills including the ability to operate Corporate email, spreadsheets, word processing, engineering drawing databases at a highly proficient level.

  • Ability to work extended shifts when needed for business purposes or to be called-in to work in the event of emergency or urgent business needs.
  • Contributes recommendations and suggestions for work method improvements, safety, materials, and tools.
  • The Maintenance Supervisor must have an appropriate focus on personal process and work force safety.
  • Attributes should include honesty, trustworthiness, respect for others, flexibility, and sound workplace ethics.

Experience, Education, and Training

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Bachelors Degree in an engineering or management preferred.
  • 8 or more years of facility maintenance experience, preferably in a large-scale Industrial campus setting.
  • Extensive building systems knowledge, preferably with CMMS, BMSS, SCADA.
  • Fundamental understanding of at least 1 discipline: Electrical, Mechanical, Water, Controls, or Gas & Chems.
