Job Summary/Basic Function:

The Norris Events Center Desk Attendant is the first point of contact for visitors, guests, and members utilizing the facility. This position is responsible for delivering excellent customer service, overseeing front desk operations, enforcing facility policies, and assisting in the day-to-day coordination of events and activities. The Desk Attendant plays a key role in ensuring that the Norris Events Center operates smoothly, safely, and efficiently.

Greet all visitors, members, and event participants in a friendly, professional manner.

Check in guests, verify memberships, and manage facility access.

Assist in cleaning and organization of Arbuckle Student Activity Center

Provide accurate information about facility programs, events, schedules, and policies.

Answer incoming phone calls and respond to inquiries via phone, email, or in person.

Process payments for event reservations, memberships, and other transactions as assigned.

Assist with event setup, teardown, and coordination as needed.

Monitor the lobby and public spaces to maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment.

Enforce facility rules and report violations or incidents to management.

Maintain front desk records, attendance logs, and incident reports.

Support other Norris Events Center staff in preparing for special events, tournaments, and community activities.
