Course Information and Responsibilities

PSY763 School Psychological Interventions Practicum

St. Johns University Center for Psychological Services seeks a licensed psychologist to provide on-site clinical supervision to doctoral candidates in psychology. Supervision meetings are typically scheduled for 3 hours a week. In addition, the supervisor will review clinical session notes and recordings oversee case documentation and ensure quality training and client care throughout the indicated semester up until the start of the subsequent semester.

Responsibilities:

• Provide on-site weekly supervision • Oversee all aspects of clinical care provided by assigned students • Review, edit, and approve all relevant clinical documentation • Conduct direct observation of each trainee • Provide regular student feedback and complete student evaluations • Adhere to APA ethical guidelines and state and federal laws pertaining to supervision and clinical practice • Follow policies and procedures of the Center for Psychological Services • Attend relevant trainings as needed

Qualifications

• Doctorate in Clinical or School Psychology • Licensure as Psychologist in New York State • Experience in the delivery of psychological services • Minimum one year experience in providing supervision of psychological services • Excellent oral and written communication skills • Ability to work collaboratively with professional staff, faculty, and students, and fellow administrators • Dedication to the Vincentian and global missions of the University
