MarsFood EngineeringInternship Experience

AsaEngineeringIntern, you will gain exposure to the following areas:

  • Ability to work withcross functionalteams.

  • Understanding of improvement tools such as SIXSIGMA, Kaizen, 5S

  • Proficiency in Microsoft applications, specifically Microsoft Excel and Power Bi

  • Strong data management and problem-solving abilities

  • Assistin collecting and analyzing line and machine performance data.

  • Plan the flow of work or materials to maximize efficiency.

  • Initiate line improvement and waste reduction initiatives.

  • Conduct projects to increase plant efficiency.

  • Optimize performance and drive value leadership.

  • Perform a key role in the team process of setting line performance standards, e.g., KPI’s.

  • Develop proposed equipment layouts, operational designs, and material flows, which impact direct cost elements, with a vision toward achieving plant long-term objectives.

  • Collect, analyze, and report Key Performance Indicators at value stream, facility, and enterprise level, creating and leading KPI-based action plans for performance improvement.

  • Conduct time and motion studies to identify opportunities to improve worker efficiency.

  • Plan the flow of work or materials to maximize efficiency.

Whatwe’relooking for:

  • 3rd year student in Industrial/Mechanical Engineering Program

  • Eligible candidates will intern the summer prior to their final graduation date.

  • Open to students legally authorized to work in the U.S., without the need for current or future work status authorization or visa sponsorship for employment.

  • Employment is contingent upon successful completion of drug & background screening.

  • This internship location will be in Greenville, Mississippi

  • Eligible candidateswillbe responsible forpersonal transportation to and from worksiteduringdurationofthe internshipprogram
