This summer internship position provides technical support to the Transportation (TD) Group, encompassing highway, traffic, and bridge engineering, and related work required by other Departments within the company.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:
Utility coordination.
Right of way plan preparation.
Drainage design.
Traffic control plan design.
Strive to achieve a higher performance level, increase your knowledge of understanding Highway engineering standards and practices consistently.
Understand and be able to use the Company filing system within the first week of your employment.
Follow instructions and complete Highway engineering assignments, as directed.
Attendance at Company and/or Highway meetings, as necessary.
Organize and maintain office paperwork and/or digital files.
Correspond with Clients and staff, as requested.
Use appropriate public relations when dealing with co-workers, clients, observers, and the public.
Have strong interpersonal skills and communicate effectively with people, both orally and in writing.
Perform tasks independently, organize information, and complete deliverables expediently.
