Job Summary:

The Summer Administrative Intern will provide administrative support while gaining hands-on experience in nonprofit operations and client services. This internship offers an opportunity to develop professional communication, customer service, organization and office administration skills in a mission-driven environment.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Provides administrative support by scanning, copying, organizing, and filing client documents, and completed paperwork,
  • Assist with maintaining confidential records and documentation in accordance with agency policies.
  • Support Family Specialists with intake-related tasks and data entry, including entering confidential information as needed.
  • Help ensure files and records are accurate, organized, and up to date.
  • Perform other administrative and support duties as assigned by your supervisor.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills;
  • Demonstrates customer service and interpersonal skills;
  • Strong attention to detail, organization, and willingness to learn;
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with professionalism;
  • Comfortable using computers and standard office equipment;
  • Ability to work effectively with people from diverse backgrounds, identities, cultures, nationalities, and languages.
  • Must successfully complete a Background Record Check prior to the start of the internship.

Travel: None

Work Environment: This job operates in a professional office environment and uses standard office equipment, such as computers, scanners, photocopiers, filing cabinets, and printers.
