JOB SUMMARY:

To assist faculty and staff conducting research/extension programs that are in alignment with established protocols regarding agricultural research. Other duties as assigned.

JOB DUTIES:

• 50% - Essential - Assist research/Extension personnel in planting, maintaining and harvesting of agronomic crops. • 25% - Essential - Assist with data collection of crops in fields and greenhouses. • 25% - Essential - Assist in maintenance of facilities and grounds of Research and Education Center.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

Education - High School or Equivalent One year of HS and at least 16 y - HS and at least 1 year of college completed and/or worked at Coastal REC.

PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS:

Education - Associates Degree/2 yrs college & previous work history with Coastal REC or USDA. Licenses - Drivers License Class D normal < 26,000

RESPONSIBILITIES

JOB KNOWLEDGE Fundamental Job Knowledge - Fundamental working knowledge of concepts, practices and procedures and ability to apply in varied situations.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES No Supervisory Duties - Not responsible for supervising employees.

BUDGETARY RESPONSIBILITIES No Budget Responsibilities - No fiscal responsibility for the departments budget.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

Standard Hours: 37.5

COMPENSATION INFORMATION

Anticipated Hourly Range: $14 - $18 Salary is dependent upon several factors including, but not limited to, a candidates previous experience, knowledge, skills and performance in accordance with Clemsons compensation guidelines.

ESSENTIAL PERSONNEL LEVEL

Normal Operations Required to follow emergency facility closure directives, and not normally expected work on-site during emergency situations.
